Water in Palos Verdes is provided by Cal Water, a retail agency of the West Basin Municipal Water District. With decades of planning and investments in conservation programs and local water reliability projects, such as recycled water, desalination, and groundwater augmentation, West Basin and its retail agencies are well prepared to manage multi-year droughts. Since only 57% of our water is imported from Metropolitan Water District, our water supply is secure. We only have to follow sensible water saving guidelines, not the stringent ones as we see in some other cities.
Nevertheless, the drought is severe and we all have to do our best to save water. Both Cal Water and West Basin offer 💡 conservation tips, classes, free kits and rebates. You can even request a free evaluation of your home to see how you can improve your water usage.
